Platinum Base Rubber

PlatSil Gel-10 Platil Gel-10, a translucent, soft rubber, is an excellent mold material for delicate casting projects and creating special effects. Gel-10 is a two-part, addition cure, liquid silicone system with an easy 1:1 mix ration. After mixing Parts A and B, Gel-10 cures within 30 minutes at room temperature to a soft, tough rubber. Gel-10 does not shrink on curing.

Knead-a-Mold

Knead-a-Mold is a two-part platinum-cured silicone mold-making system that is safe and easy to use. It works beautifully with resins, low-temperature melt alloys, paper and air-dry clays, polymer clay, wood putty, chocolate and more!

Excellent for replicating vertical, small or hard-to-reach areas. Non-toxic and food-safe, Knead-a-Mold can be baked at up to 300°F constant temperature or 600°F intermittently. No special equipment, tools or release agents are needed.

Brush-a-Mold

Brush-a-Mold is a brush-on, two-part silicone mold making system. It is easy to use, replicates the finest details, is safe, non-toxic, and requires no release agents. It is perfect for covering large surfaces, life-casting and in-situ mold making. Brush-a-Mold has a pot life/gel time of 16 minutes and a cure time of 20-30 minutes at ambient temperature (70-72°F).

PlatSil 71 Series Silicone Rubber

PlatSil 71 Series mold rubbers are two-component, addition-cure, platinum catalyzed, high tear strength, flexible mold compounds. They have tough knotty tear strength which make them especially valuable to the mold making industry. They are recommended as mold material for polyester, epoxy, polyurethane resins, waxes and many other materials. PlatSil silicones are preferred because on curing, they do not shrink, they do not produce alcohol like tin-catalyzed silicones which can inhibit urethane castings, and they can be heat accelerated to speed the cure.

Polyurethane Rubber

Poly Gel 40

Polygel 40 is a Shore A~40, 1:1 mix, brush-on, polyurethane liquid mold rubber designed for making thin, stretchy brushed molds. Both liquids are low viscosity which, when mixed, self-thicken to a creamy consistency ideal for making blanket or glove molds of complex objects. Great for casting plaster, concrete, as well as resins and foams with suitable releases.

Poly-Fast 72-40

Poly-Fast 72-40 may be poured or thickened and applied by trowel or brush, to make high quality, flexible molds. These molds are especially useful for making wax or plaster casts and with release agents or barrier coats are good for casting resins and concrete.

Poly 74 Series Urethane Rubber

The 74 series liquid rubbers make durable, easy releasing molds for casting gypsum plasters and waxes without release agents, but are also excellent for casting cement and resins of epoxy, polyester, urethane and acrylic with proper release agents.

Poly 74-30 Clear is a transparent version of Poly 74-30 used for cut molds or where transparency is important. Easy 1:1 mix, widely used by foundries for waxes. Can be poured as supplied, or thickened and brushed on. Long working time, very fluid. Excellent for plaster and limited castings of resins and cement as well.

Patented Polygel® mold rubbers are 1:1 mix liquids that thicken during mixing to a brush able or spray able viscosity. No Cab-O-Sil® or Part D is needed. Polygel® 50 can be applied about 1/4 inch thick while Polygel® 40 is thinner for best detail penetration. Polygel® Spray 50 is a spray able version. Polygel® Spray 50 is a spray able version of Polygel® 50. Polygel® 50 Spray is softer for more delicate and undercut models and castings. A mold can be sprayed in one application and cured overnight. Spraying is a very economical alternative to brushing for molds made over large models and surface areas. TinSil 70 Series Silicone Rubber

All TinSil 70 Series mold rubbers are tin-catalyzed, condensation-cure systems. They are ideal for molds where easy release or high temperature resistance is needed. They are recommended for evaluation as mold materials for polyester, epoxy, and polyurethane resins and waxes. All Tinsil rubbers have a demold time of sixteen hours.

TinSil 80 Series Silicone Rubber

The TinSil 80-Series is a new series of tin-cured silicone mold rubbers from Polytek that are designed to offer reduced shrinkage upon cure and during casting, longer storage/library life once cured and longer useable mold life.

TinSil 80-30 is a 1A:10B mix ratio tin silicone with a mid-range, A~30 hardness and a tough, snappy, high-tear cure. The highest performance materials and processes have been used to develop this next-generation tin silicone for the most demanding casting applications. As with other Polytek silicone mold rubbers, TinSil 80-30 can be used to cast all media without release agents.

Plas-Pak Systems Spray Poly Plastics, Polygel® Rubbers & TinSil® Spray 25 The Plas-Pak systems are relatively inexpensive and surprisingly versatile when used with Polytek liquid rubbers and plastics. They can be used to spray a variety of rubbers and plastics or they can just be used to mix and dispense without spraying. Interested in spraying silicone? We can do that too! PolyBond A polyurethane adhesive that is great for repairing torn molds. PolyBond has a 1A:3B mix ration (by weight), a 3 minute working time and a 15 minute cure time.

Poly Latex False Face Compound is a one part pourable liquid that, when poured into a dry, unsealed gypsum mold, cures to a high-strength, flexible casting rubber. False Face was formulated to produce flexible hollow parts for uses such as novelty masks, flexible sculpture, and animatronic applications.
